Anti Malware

UVM's anti-malware solution consists of System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP), which is Microsoft's enterprise anti-malware solution.

Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) is an enterprise anti-malware solution, which provides real-time protection of your computer from viruses, adware/spyware, and other malicious software. To obtain SCEP, computers must be joined to the CAMPUS domain, which allows the installation of SCEP using the university's enterprise systems management tool, known as System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr / SCCM).

For Windows 10 users, your system is already protected with built-in Windows Defender and is compliant with UVM's Anti-Malware service requirements.

Features

To maintain the security of UVM domain joined computers, SCEP provides:

  • Daily definition updates
  • Real-time protection from viruses and malware
  • Quick and Full scans

Get Started

If your PC is currently joined to the CAMPUS domain, no action is required.  If it isn't, you're missing out on a lot of features and security benefits.  Contact the TechTeam or your local IT staff for assistance joining.
