Install Microsoft Office apps on up to five devices, including Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
A benefit of the university's enterprise licensing agreement with Microsoft, the Employee Advantage program provides active UVM faculty and staff with access to the Microsoft productivity applications they need across multiple devices, including personally-owned devices. This program replaces the Home Use program at UVM.
Employees can download and install Microsoft Office apps like Word and Excel on their Windows or macOS laptop, their iOS or Android mobile devices, up to five different devices in all. Employees can visit go.uvm.edu/getoffice to download software and to manage their installations.

Get Started
Visit go.uvm.edu/getoffice and log in using your UVM NetID. You can install Microsoft Office 365 apps for Windows and macOS, as well as Office apps for mobile devices, up to five devices in all.
Most folks will likely use these licenses on personally-owned devices, since university-owned devices likely have a different version of Office installed that uses a different activation method. However, the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement allows installation of Office 365 apps on your university-owned workstation.
Please note that this entitlement is restricted to current employees. Emeriti faculty, retired staff, and temporary employees are not eligible for this program.
When employees leave UVM, Office app activations based on their UVM NetID will end. To continue using the applications, former employees may purchase a personal subscription to Office 365 directly from Microsoft.
For IT Professionals
This version of Microsoft Office for Windows and macOS will see new features sooner than the volume license version available from the UVM imaging and deployment solution. For that reason, some folks may prefer to install it on their UVM-owned devices.
